Invotex Group Expands Leadership in Three Offices; Announces New Senior Professionals

Baltimore, MD - September 29, 2011

Invotex Group, a financial and economic consulting firm providing intellectual property, dispute, investigation, insolvency, insurance and valuation services, has announced that it has added three shareholders: Managing Director Lester C. Schott is now a shareholder of the firm; Michael J. Petron has been promoted to Managing Director and shareholder; and Gregory R. Marsh has joined the firm as a Managing Director and shareholder.

“We are very excited to expand our firm’s leadership by adding senior level professionals as to three major practice groups,” said Managing Director and firm CEO, Raymond Peroutka. “Mike and Les have proven invaluable to the growth of their respective practices. Likewise, we are looking forward to incorporating Greg’s experience and expanding our capabilities in the areas of valuation and corporate restructuring.”

Lester C. Schott, who has been a Managing Director in the firm’s insurance practice for more than a year, has been accepted as a shareholder of the firm. Prior to joining Invotex, he had more than 30 years of experience with the State of Maryland where his career encompassed key roles with the Office of Legislative Audits and, more recently, with the Maryland Insurance Administration (MIA) where he managed a staff of 35 and was responsible for assuring the continued solvency of the insurance industry in the state by overseeing financial examinations, the MIA's financial analysis function, the licensing of authorized insurers and other entities, as well as the collection of premium taxes, retaliatory taxes and surplus lines taxes. Mr. Schott is a Certified Public Accountant and Certified Financial Examiner and is based in the firm’s Baltimore office.

Michael J. Petron was promoted to Managing Director and shareholder. Mr. Petron provides a variety of litigation consulting services, including commercial damages, complex financial transactions, fraud investigation and forensic accounting. He has more than 10 years of statistical and financial consulting experience, which encompasses consulting on a number of significant litigation matters involving fraud investigations, intellectual property damages and accounting malpractice matters. He is a Certified Public Accountant and Certified Fraud Examiner and is based in the firm’s Washington, DC office.

Gregory R. Marsh joined the firm as a Managing Director and shareholder in the firm’s Philadelphia office. He has more than 20 years of financial and accounting experience and is responsible for performance and oversight of client engagements in the areas of business valuation and reorganization services. With a focus on valuation for financial reporting, tax and restructuring purposes, Mr. Marsh values intangible assets, intellectual property, options, debt and equity securities and corporate reporting units of both private and public companies. He has testified before various district courts and the New York Stock Exchange Arbitration Panel as an expert witness on business and securities valuation, insolvency and fraudulent conveyance issues. Prior to joining Invotex, Mr. Marsh most recently worked as a director at LECG and a risk manager at GE Capital. Mr. Marsh is a Certified Public Accountant, Accredited in Business Valuation and Certified in Financial Forensics as well as an Accredited Senior Appraiser.
