Invotex Group Establishes Real Estate Advisory Group; John R. Kovacs, CPA, Joins Firm to Lead Practice

Invotex Group, a consulting firm providing intellectual property, dispute, investigation, insolvency, insurance and valuation services, today announced that it has established a Real Estate Advisory practice to help the real estate industry meet ongoing challenges and that John R. Kovacs has joined the firm as a Director to lead the practice.
The firm’s Real Estate Advisory group will provide advisory and other selected services to companies and institutions involved with troubled and distressed commercial and/or residential real estate. These services include company reorganization and restructuring, turnaround management, project level work-outs and restructuring, and serving as financial advisor.
Kovacs has more than 30 years experience providing a wide range of services to companies that need assistance in solving financial and operational difficulties. With particular expertise advising companies in the real estate, construction and service industries, he has extensive experience in restructuring real estate transactions and work-outs, as well as advising and consulting with owners, lenders and/or investors. His experience includes financing more than 50 commercial, residential and mixed-use real estate projects totaling more than $1 billion in construction and permanent loans in addition to restructuring an $800 million construction firm that experienced financial difficulties.

Prior to joining Invotex, Kovacs was Chief Financial Officer for a national real estate development and construction firm specializing in urban renewal and redevelopment. In addition, Kovacs held management positions with Price Waterhouse & Co. (PriceWaterhouse Coopers), American International Group (AIG) and Kajima International.
